Why does it need the dmz to work?  What issues/what actually happens?

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?

    What fibre optic modem is it connected to? 
    it still shouldn't need to be in a dmz unless there's some other issue causing it to need that

      I am puzzled as well, I have tried remove it out of DMZ and whole surveillance system in-reachable, I have no other solution
