Due to the Yellow WAN port and the 4 LAN ports being only supporting of 1000Mbps, you'll not see anything over 1000Mpbs on the wire. If you connected the ISP modem to the MG port and have a wireless device that supports 4x4 MIMO, then it's possible you'd see near 1400Mpbs over wireless.

I dont really know if the S23 Ultra has 4x4 MIMO. So even if I got a LAG card, I still would not see more than 940mbps down?

Might if you LAG from the LAN ports with the MG port set to be your WAN port.
Don't know for sure.
Only routers that support higher speeds WAN to LAN with additional high speed LAN ports are the RS700 and Orbi 960 and 970 series systems.

You would think this router would have had a LAN 2.5 GBE port on top of a regular WAN 2.5 GBE port.
I just dont understand why the on board speed test thing wont hit my maximum speeds.- FURRYe38Dec 02, 2023Guru - Experienced User
Ya NG came out with several model routers with MG internet ports but didn't add an additional one on the LAN side for seamless MG speed support from the WAN to the LAN side. Only on these certain models will not see anything over 1Gb From WAN to LAN due ot the WAN and LAN RG45 ports being only 1G support. Which is why your seeing what your seeing on the wire.
