Connected to the 2.5 gb wan port. The router will not allow me to select an internet speed on the QOS page of greater that 1000 mbps. Tha ACTUAL provisioning speed from my ISP is faster. Router speed test, ( Probably due to the server they are using), is 470 mbps, computer direct to modem gets 1149 mbps, but again, the router will not allow a manual speed selection of greater that 1000 mbps.
QoS is not really needed on ISP speeds 1GB or higher. I'd disable QoS, reboot the router then speed test.
I realize that, but the QOS page is where the INTERNET BANDWIDTH is either calculated, or input. If you notice, I didn't select QOS, I am working at the place where it says I want to define my internet bandwidth.
NG may have only set the QoS input value to max out at 1GB. Since the default port was for the 1Gb port. May have not applied this to the Multi Gig port.
QoS isn't required for anything past 1GB. So you'll need to use it as is or disable it. I'd leave it disabled.
Besides the QoS database is 5 years old and would be no longer updated by NG.
It actually DOES affect the 2.5 port. IF I set it to 500 down, then my devices average 470, if I set it to 1000, I get about 870, the actual speed SHOULD be 1150 mbps down, but I am limited to 1000.

Why do you think you need to define it?
Because if I don't it sets the speed to under 500 through the speed test that is incorrect, and limits the speeds of the devices connected tot he internet through the router. the router average speed test is between 460 and 480, but computer direct to modem tests at 1149. The speed test the router performs is inaccurate, and it will limit throughput. HOURS of testing has verified all this.
