igmp option
Hi,
They installed last week a fiber connection at home. There i have the router of the provider.
Via the wan cable there is a connection to my Network RAX 80 router that is defined as access point.
Everything works perfect, very good wifi (much better than the router of the provider).
But when I connect my digital Television to the RAX80 when looking live television it freezes after 4 seconds. Each time I choose an other television station, i got 4 seconds television. Looking to recorded programs works fine, looking to program's in the past also.
No I found that the Digital Television needs "igmp snooping" enabled. But when you use the RAX as an access point you don't have the possibility to change this option.
Is there somewhere another solution ? Are there some users with the same problem that found another solution ? The provider is an Belgian provider named Proximus.
I like to use this solution, so i can connect my TV directly via cable. Otherwise I need an extra Wifi booster to user my TV.
Thanks a lot.
Peter.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?Is the RAX in router or AP mode?
If your ISP modem already has a router, This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.Try option #2 first then #3...
