Internet Led frequently turning off

Fw: 1.0.12.120.
Router is connected to a fiber modem (Genexis) that is also a ruter. Unfortunately not able to detach the modem to check for the model. The router functionallity in the modem was disabled (incl wifi) or in bridge mode years before the problems started. Connected to RAX with cat6 cable. Older netgear router (R7000P) worked fine. Hope this helps.

Well, you've raised the dreaded NAT issue, but you do seem to have it in hand. But disabled wifi is not the same as bridge mode.
Any chance that it reset itself and needs to be set up again?
Have you tried a reset on the RAX?
Do you have a power adapter you could try (from the R7000P?) to check that this isn't going bad?
