IPv4 & IPv6 VPN Tunnel on Nighthawk RAX45 AX6
I'm on the road with my Windows 10 laptop. I'm trying to open a VPN tunnel to my home where I have a NetGear RAX45 WiFi6 router. I'm running OPENVPN GUI v11.31.0.0. I would like to force all interne...

My ring alarm and camera are also offline now. Not sure why the IPv6 changes impacted them.

Attempting to make configuration changes remotely while the system is up and running can be a challenge.

I had my neighbor reset the router. I can connect again. With the IPv6 settings in place, I downloaded a new client config. It hadn't changed. I looked at the Windows adapter properties for NETGEAR-VPN. IPv4 has connectivity, but IPv6 doesn't. See attachement. Any more ideas?

How do you know it hasn't changed? Did you do a chksum comparison on the three binary files?
If all you did was check the text file, you left out the other three and do not know.
The IPv6 status connectivity is causing you problems specifically how and specifically with what?
I will get someone on the client end and check the IPv6 connectivity status with my setup in the next couple of days.

Snip of status attached. Both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity over internet.
Did your neighbor do a full default firmware reset using the recessed button on the back of the unit or simply power it down and then back up?

I did a SHA512 hash on each of ca.crt, client.crt and client.key files. The hashes were the same for each corresponding file type.
I'm trying to avoid geo-blocking. When I run the ip checker at ipleak.net it reports a remote IPv4 address and a local IPv6 address. I am assuming that is one of the problems geo-blocking is finding. I think I need it to report remote IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

I think it's definitely a IPv6 problem. I went into the Windows networking and disabled iPV6 for the local adapter. Now ipleak.net reports my remote IPv4 address and no IPv6 address. No problems with geo-blocking because there's no local iPV6 address to leak.
Not an elegant solution. Don't want to run like this all the time. When I'm back home, I work on the router settings. Don't want to mess up something that's working until I'm home in a week.
Thanks for your help. Any further suggestions on iPV6 would be appreciated.

There may be some nuances as to how your local ISP implements IPv6. There are several options in the router for IPv6 configuration. I did not track down all of them to understand the differences.
Good luck!
