Ive an Ax12 Rax200 - want to add an extender. AX6000, AX8, EAX80 or RBK850?
Afternoon all, some advise please if i may, ive found one other thread on here about an rax200 asking about an extender but is not the same as this question. Should this of been asked already, ...

I went with two orbi ax6000 addon satellites
Though cannot get them to play nice with the nighthawk ax12 rax200. It seems the orbi requires the orbi modem and will not act as extenders for the nighthawk.

I’ve just purchased now 3x EAX80 extenders which hopefully will play nice with the nighthawk.
Shame as I think the orbis would have been better. I also like the look of the orbi that can nicely sit in a hallway. Where’s as the eax80 looks like a piece of hardware in the wrong location. But can not seem to get the orbi satellites to work with the nighthawk without the orbi modem. Though you really would have thought it should be a smooth transition and be able to do so...? Thanks

the orbi does need a orbi router controlling it. They are great devices and are designed to function as mesh. But it is a whole system

Yes I have noticed this.
Shame really as it does seem the nighthawk ax12 rax200 is the better router and the orbi rbk850 are the better mesh system.
So my question is. Do I get the ex80 extenders for the nighthawk ax12 rax200 or do sell my nighthawk and get the orbi router so I can use the orbi mesh rbk850.

I can say that i've ran the RAX200 + a EX8000 and went back to my RBK53 system (ac system) because the orbi had better range/stability.
I haven't used the Orbi AX system though so I can't attest to how well it works. Plus I've never used the EAX80 with my RAX200
