Login issues after connecting my USB drive (RAX43)

Model is RAX43 5-Stream AX4200 WiFi Router purchased from Costco a few months ago.

 

When I plug in my USB 3.0 drive, the router seems to do a "reset" and I can no longer login. I've reset my router to factory default several times. No firmware update available to solve the problem. Can't connect via routerlogin.net, 10.0.0.1, 192.168.1.1 or any other IP address.

 

Otherwise, the router seems to behave properly. I have internet connection. I can access the music files stored on the USB drive.

    Is there an error or message that pops up when you attempt to login? Can you provide a screenshot of the page you're attempting to log into.
