Low speeds for my brand new modem
Just bought htis router/modem and am getting just 180 Mbps WIRED direct ot the unit... I have 1.2 Mbps plan with Xfinity... Already spent several hours with the internet service provider on the phone...

Did they ever re-provision it for you? I've seen them send the wrong provisioning file before.
How are you testing speeds?
yes they did. my laptop is directly wired to the modem. I am testing using xfinity's speed meter and also used ookla. Same results. Very few devices are connected to this modem.
What are your speed results with your wired PC connected to the modem after configuring modem mode only? Look for Router mode and set to NO. The modem will reboot.
have you tried a different computer/pc?
just have this one. Tried checj=king speeds wirelessly on my phone Iphone 12 and get around 150mbps / 200 max
