Mesh 3 system with a mesh 6 add on

I have a nighthawk mesh 3 system and wanted to extend my range and purchased a nighthawk mesh 6 add on and can't get it to sync.  Does anyone know if they are compatible?  If not is there an add on for the mesh three system?

    What actual model system do you have? 

    And what satellite are you looking at adding?
