MR60 QoS not correct and no backhaul.
Thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this and help.
I recently purchased a Nighthawk MK63 System. Not the MK63S. With one MR60 and two MS60's.
The number one problem is that I turned on QoS which was the initial reason for going with this mesh system to replace the first generation of Orbi routers because they were less than ideal. However, when I try to change a devices priority (which the system will only let you change one at a time, obviously) it brings up a totally different device with a different IP address. No idea how or why that happens at all and the call center and the live chat were less than helpful. I'm on the most current firmware V1.0.6.110_2.0.49 and I was wondering if this is a common issue.
The second problem is with wired backhauling. I live in a very old brick home and so wired backhauling for one of the satellites is absolutely necessary. The tech's on the phone and on the live chat said to connect it directly to the router because the switch in between would be the issue. That's not the case whatsoever, I brought the satellite to the IT room and plugged it directly into the same switch, same port, that is running to the other room and finally the satellite showed up as being wired and not running off the 5GHz band. I tested the wire running to the other room to make sure it wasn't that, and it works just fine. The satellites are on the same firmware and I'm really hoping that I don't have to go back, but I will if I must. The Orbi satellites also used wired backhauling with the same line before setting up this new system.
