Netgear AX1800 - need to disable SIP ALG and RTP.

Hi. I need assistance with my UC phone on my laptop. I work from home and having trouble using the phone (softphone). Spectrum is my internet provider and I have a router with them connected to my Netgear AX1800 model number RAX10. I need to disable SIP ALG and RTP on the Netgear router in order to make and receive calls. How do I do that? Spectrum said that SIP ALG and RTP are already disabled on their device. thanks.

  • First off,

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Log in to the user interface from a real computer with a web browser.  Go to Advanced -> Setup -> WAN Setup and there is an option to disable SIP ALG.  Click on apply.

If you do not know how to log in to the user interface, go to the downloads section above, feed in your model number and download the user manual.
