Netgear AX8 RAX70 Tri-Band AX6600 40 device Router WAN vs LAN speed
On the QoS page the speed test returns 279mbps. Any Gig ethernet connected device inside the network 98mbps. What is the bottleneck? Is the router only capable of 100mbps? Why is it marketed as a gig...

There's nothing to change on it. I have noticed that sketchier cables or ends do cause it drop drop from gigabit to 10/100mbps.
And some devices tolerate it better than others. You can try replacing the ends on your cables in case its just a sketchy end.
But if its connecting at gigabit when ran with a short cable, it tends to point at the longer cables having some type of issue.

Cool. A little more time now after work and I sorted out the cables. I ran an extra. That one connects at a gig.
Not as neat as it was. But it works. Thanks for your patience.

Glad to see a different cable fixed it. Sad that it screws up the neatness.
I've been seeing it a lot more where these newer devices are a little more sensitive to the ethernet cables used on whether they connect at 10/100mbps or gigabit.
eitherway, glad you got it figured out!
Might mark it solved so others aren't still trying to fix it 🙂
