NetGear NightHawk RAX80 Firmware Update Frozen

Question

This NetGear NightHawk RAX80 router has an iPhone app to manage the router and also the Wi-Fi. This router is currently running on firmware v1.0.3.98_1.0.46 yet in the app I see that there is a firmware update available, but when I begin the update it spins without ever finishing.

How may I get this to update? Purchased 2019 October.
