netgear nigthawk ax2400 caught fire

Question

So my netgear ax2400 caught fire today. Smoke was pouring out of it and the whole house smells like burn router. I threw it out the front door before it could burn down the house. Just wondering how many others have had similar experiences with their netgear products. I found one previous post on the subject but that post is marked "archived" so it isn't available to the public anymore.

WHat model router is this? AX2400 isn't a model #.&nbsp;

Haven't seen others with claiming there routers have caught fire recently.&nbsp;
12volts can fry some components but wouldn't catch fire...

Model RAX29It was not clogged with dust as it was a recent purchase from Walmart, easily returnable.I would be more than happy to plug it back in (outdoors) and get a picture of smoke pouring out of it.&nbsp;

Ya, if you can return it, do that. May have been an odd defect in the router. I agree, should not happen.&nbsp;
