NetGear rax40 does not connect to EAX20
hello.
I have a RAX40.
I bought the EAX20
To extend the range of the RAX40
with the nighthawk app
I set up a connection between the two devices.
The RAX40 (SSID router) disappeared and the Internet was not available.
can't connect RAX40 and EAX20
rax40 is the latest firmware.
EAX20 TOO.
to my brother
I borrowed a RAX40 V2.
Connection with EAX20 is successful.
and my other router iptime ax8004
Connection with EAX20 is successful.
When will the problem be resolved?

1. what modem/gateway is the RAX connected to?
2. what actual firmware versions are you on? The latest changes, isn't always, or could be an issue.
3. Are you setting it up using wps push button setup, using the app, or using the installation assistant?
- JAEHOAspirant1. i'm using GIGA LAN 1Gb/s
used in my country
KT network service KT's modem
The RAX40 is connected to the KT's modem with a CAT5E cable.
2. rax40 firmware version is 1.0.5.104
3. using netgear nighthawk app and
192.168.1.1 RAX40 local connection
192.168.1.250 EAX20 local connection settings
But it failed frequently.
If i link the RAX40 with the EAX20,
out of control settings and internet.
is this a firmware issue Or is it a chipset (GRX350) issue with the rax40?What KT modem is it?
did you ever start back at stock with both router and extender? Meaning factory reset them both and start back at defaults.
Also, make sure to avoid spaces and special characters in the ssid/password
