Netgear RAXE500 cutting speed in half on LAN ports
I have 1.2Gbs service through Xfinity. Coming off back of modem (Netgear cm2000), I get around 950Mbs download. When I run that to the Multi-Gig port of the RAXE500 router, I can only get around 450M...

You're on the current version. And the CM2000 + RAXE should be able to max out gigabit without issues (I didn't have any).
Did you try other servers?

I did try some different servers, with various results.
I also checked the settings on my network adapter. It seems like there were a lot of "power saving" settings turned on, so I turned those off. That seemed to help get the speed up faster.
Running a speed test off Xfinity's website shows around 920 Mbs down and 42 Mbs up.
My network adapter also says that it is connected at 1Gbs. So I guess we will see how it goes. Performance seems to be better as of now.

with network overhead 920mbps is about what you can expect. You'll see a little variation in the 920-940mbps area.
so maybe an adapter or server issue?
- Tedo2107Apr 25, 2022GuideIt’s definitely possible.
I’m about maxed out what Xfinity can give me in my area. Unfortunately no fiber available here.
It’s just a laptop that I’m testing with as well, so Probably not as good as a desktop adapter. - FURRYe38Apr 25, 2022Guru - Experienced User
Just wondering here, are you using a web browser and speedtest.net or Ooklas installable speed test app?
