Router is Netgear 42 941865D1DD1C
Main TV is connected via cable thru Cox's Contour box
Other streaming services, specifically Netflix and Hulu, are running just fine.
All 3 streaming services, the above 2 services and Paramount+, are included in Cox's subscription we purchased. These are the only 3 streaming services we use.
Internet speed - no idea - I have basically a 2nd grade level of education when it comes to computers. Looked at the Manual - complete foreign language to me.

Not really. That looks like the serial number. Not something that you should post here.
Look at the label on the thing:
Model number
When we know that we can begin to see what might be happening at your end.
Main TV is connected via cable thru Cox's Contour box
It would also help if we knew what that box is. What is it supposed to do?
And what device sits between your unknown Netgear device and the Internet?

Try RAX49

What does the Contour box do? It connects directly with the cable and it acts like the central brain.
there is nothing between the contour box and the main tv. It is a straight shot, no other connections

Between the router and the internet? About 12 inches

The device between the 2 is the MAC

This smells like a router. But what does it connect to with the cable? A modem? The router?
Where does the router sit in your network?
The usual layout would be
outside world >> modem >> router (RAX49) >> other stuff (TVs, streamers, PCs etc.)
Sometimes it is
outside world >> combined modem/router >> other stuff
The RAX49 is not a modem/router. If it sees one of those connected to the Internet, then bad stuff can happen so it is usually a good idea to change its "mode" to Access Point (AP).
outside world >> combined modem/router >> AP (RAX49) >> other stuff
Where is this Contour box in your chain?
What is your modem?
Have you ever updated the firmware on your RAX49?

Arrangement: outside world-modem-router- iMAC; and,
Outside world-Contour box-TV-other stuff
When watching Netflix, Hulu, etc on TV - the TV tells you that you are connecting to the internet
Modem: Arris Touchstone CM8200
Update router? - No, just purchased +/- 30 days ago
