Nighthawk A12 don't detect the HDD attach to the USB port

I see there was a previous post that had a solution of downgrading the firmware, but that was back in May https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Routers-with-WiFi-6-AX/Nighthawk-A12-don-t-detect-the-HDD-attach-to-the-USB-port/m-p/1918387

 

This issue is still a thing and so I am opening a new discussion. My HDD is not recognized by my RAX 120 Nighthawk A12. I do not want to downgrade my firmware. Is there another fix?
