Nighthawk AX12 AX6000 WiFi Router (RAX120) frequent router manual resets
I have had my Nighthawk for about two years now and everything has been great. Recently, I have noticed I need to reboot my router more than I ever have in the past? Anyone know if this is normal or ...

- Currently running V1.2.8.40
- I notice trouble connecting my work laptop (I have to use a VPN) and sometimes I will randomly start losing WiFi (not hardline though)
- I have not tried a factory reset? Does that fix a lot of things?

Sometimes a hardware reset can help if its a process getting stuck or an old setting causing issues.
You say it starts to loose wifi. What actually happens? What notice do you get from your laptop or what are you seeing?
Loose wifi doesn't tell us if its disconnecting from the wifi or what exactly is happening.
Do you notice if your connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz when it happens?
2.4ghz is much slower and sensitive to interference. You can try changing what channel the 2.4ghz is on.
Or you could even disable smart connect (disables the combining of the ssid's). Then you can make sure the laptop is connected to the 5ghz.

My iPhone 13 Pro MAX will actually drop the WiFi for a minute and then reconnect.I will then reset my router and the problem will be fixed for about a couple of months before I notice anything again.
My work laptop was STRUGGLING to connect to my WiFi until I reset my router. This happened recently.
I only use the 5Ghz signal for laptops and smart devices. The only time I will use 2.4 Ghz is when the smart device only works with 2.4Ghz signal. I do not have smart connect enabled on my router!

How many devices are connected to the 5ghz?

As of right now I have about (17) devices connected to it. These vary from:
- Synology NAS
- Desktops and Laptops
- Smart outlet switches
- chromecast
- Nintendo Switch
Now not all of the devices are activiely being used simultaneously.
