Nighthawk ax12 not connecting to internet on my fiber optic modem

I bought an open box nighthawk AX 12 from Amazon. I get it to The point in the Nighthawk app to where it says the cables are attached, but then Internet does not go through. I’ve tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in resetting the router. Nothing seems to work. I did not get the QR code for it so I have to do it manually, but it says I need to go to advanced options to either find the static IP or the PPOS(I think). Which either one I do does not get it to work.

Which one? AX 12 is not a unique Netgear model number. Many devices come with the AC/AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and others, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the Model Number. And, if there is one, include the "V" bit to show the hardware version. If there is no V number, then you have V1.

    RAX120?

What modem/gateway/ONT are you trying to connect it to to get to the Internet.

Manuals are always a good place to start.

    Visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.

Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.

Check the section in the manual Manually set up the Internet connection

There may also be some helpful videos on what to do.

You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Just another user with time on their hands.
