Nighthawk AX12 Power Adapter

Hi,

I live in Australia and I was just wondering if I bought the Netgear Nighthawk RAX12 - 12 Stream AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router from the US store, would I get the Power Adapter for the US (Type A or B) or would I get it in the Australian version (Australian Mains Plug). Please reply ASAP.

Thanks.

  • Not Natgear if you don't mind ... Appears as of writing, the Netgear Store does only ship to US addresses https://store.netgear.com/shipping-and-returns.html "We ship to most locations within the United States as well as to Military (APO/FPO) addresses. All orders will be shipped via FedEx. PO BOX and APO/FPO can be shipped via USPS Ground only.". And there is no store.netgear.com.au for the moment...

It's a bad idea buying US model variants, especially when it comes to wireless. It's all FCC restricted regulatory material where changing the regulatory area/country config option isn't permitted - because of the FCC does not allow. Worst case, becasue of FCC channels usage not available elsewhere, region sensitive devices can refuse to connect, too.

Some Netgear support centers regions (e.g. Singapore as per several community reports) are playing hard on non-regional models, they refuse support or hardware warranty replacements, obviously they have no FCC variants or US power supplies on stock for APAC region.

      Ref. the power supply - these are 19 V / 60 W "notebook style" power supplies (e.g. all X8 X10 AX8 AX12 AD7200 R9000 AC5300 AX6000 RAX80 RAX120 RAX200 from wally brain) with an IEC power inlet.
