Nighthawk AX12 RAX120 V2 power loss

I've recently purchased a RAX120 V2 unit and I'm experiencing WiFi drop off several times a day. This is due to the RAX120 unit powering down and rebooting for no apparent reason. I'm using the power lead supplied with the unit so think I can rule out a bad supply being the issue. The only thing I have done during the set-up is to update to the firmware to V1.2.8.40.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • What firmware are you on?

I've seen some complaints of overheating, got an old laptop fan sitting around you could set it on to check?

  • What is the first 3 characters of the routers serial number seen on the sticker in back?

  • I am having the same issue with the router restarting several times a day. Can I get the new beta firmware that supposedly resolves the issue?

    RAX120v2

    Serial starts with 6JY

  • I have this same issue. I just bought the device, and it restarts with no logged event every day, often twice in 15 minutes. It may be somehow overheating or THINKING it's overheating. I tried to sign up for the beta firmware, but the thread is locked.

Can I request it as well?

    Router Firmware Version V1.2.8.40
    First 3 of Serial: 6JY
