Nighthawk AX2400 compatible with Spectrum 1GB

I just upgraded to the Spectrum 1GB internet, they sent me a new modem and just a basic router that I don't want to use. I hooked everything up exactly as it was yesterday and activated the new modem but no internet signal will go through to my router. Spent an hour on with thier support but they eventual said everything was fine on their end and the modem was working. Tried their router and it did work so the internet is there. I would really like to go back to using my Nighthawk but when I hooked it all back up this morning knowing that the internet was there and working there was still no signal coming through and the light remained orange.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is my router just not compatible with their GB service? I would have thought they would know but when I told them what I had they just said 'that's fine'. If it matters the new router of theirs is 6e and I believe mine is just 6.

Most likely your RAX30 router is just fine.  Make sure the Ethernet cable between the new modem and your router is in good condition and connected to the correct ports.

Any time you change out a major network component such as your modem, you need to do a complete default reset of your router and set up the configuration from scratch.

Go to the Support section at the top of this page, feed in the model number of your router, click on the documentation section and download the user's manual.  Go to page 106 and you will find detailed instructions on returning your router to firmware default settings.

Thanks, I checked all the wires last night while I was on with Spectrum so we got those all set and they work with the new router in the current configuration. I will try resetting the router like you recommended.
