nighthawk ax4 4300 speed issues, resolved but...
I purchased my router a few days ago and upgraded from an ac1750 nighthawk and noticed the wifi speeds were around 80 while i paid for 500. this is standing on top of the router and checking from multuple devices. So long story short I factory rest, updated firmare, etc and no fix. then i contacted support and she asked me to disable the ax feature with ofdma and after a restart my speeds went up crazy fast. Now thats great and all but then it got me thinking (do exuse my iggnorance if im worng) isnt that the whole point of wifi 6, the new ax features and being able to connect to more stable connection and smart connect. And yes i do have multiple devices that supoort wifi 6 connection. So in the end should i just return it if its really not going to improve on anything new? thankyou and i look forward to hearing your input.
