Nighthawk AX4 Won't let me set up admin account, stuck on page

I bought a brand new router, Nighthawk AX3000/AX4 Model RAX35. I'm currently trying to set it up, but while I can log on the present wireless settings that came with it, I'm unable to actually set up and access the device itself. I input the IP address 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and get taken to the set up page for Admin Account Settings, but no matter what I put in for the new password and security questions, clicking Next does nothing. It won't load anything or let me past that page to continue set up, so I can't even update firmware either as I'm never taken to the router login. It says I have no internet connection, and using command prompt says it can ping the router, there's just no internet, so I know it knows the router is connected to the computer.

I've tried using the app to no avail, and factory reset doesn't work. I turned the modem on and off too, but nothing changed. Is there something I'm missing here? Why won't it let me past the Admin Account Settings?
  • Seems the issue resolved itself now. I've been power cycling the router a few times since the first time didn't work and after 3 minutes it's now connecting and I'm able to properly set things up and update the firmware. 😁

      In future, remember this:

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

      • Turn off and unplug modem.
      • Turn off router and computers.
      • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
      • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
      • Turn on computers and rest of network.
