Nighthawk AX5 RAX29 Wifi Printer always busy
Since install of the router every device I try and print from comes up with Printer busy message. It's driving me insane. The printer worked flawlessly on my previous wifi router. I do not know where...

Received my HP printer with Ethernet port….happy to report that my printing issues are all resolved. Connected it to a Ethernet port on the router. Took me less than 5 min after opening the box. Time to throw my Brother Wi-Fi only printer into the garbage heap.

Even if you use the same Wi-Fi SSID and password, a new router is seen by all of the LAN devices as a new network.
In my experience, a shared printer is easier to work with and responds better when it is directly connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. In this configuration, there is only one Wi-Fi hop in each direction when a user communicates with the printer. When you have the printer connected to the network via Wi-Fi, there are two Wi-Fi hops in each direction.

Just earlier this morning I ordered a HP laser printer that has (drumroll) a Ethernet port as well as WiFi included unlike the POS Brother that only has WiFi. My previous Apple router served me well for years but finally died hence my new Netgear router. I hope this solves my problem. As a side note no one which is Apple, Netgear or Brother would help me figure it out. That ok, I get tired of going thru basic trouble shooting over and over in spades. Very tiresome…..I hope the HP fixes my issue. Thanks for your response…..

From messages that have appeared here, HP printers are more user friendly than most. They do have a network utility
I have been Canon since the first inkjet days, ever since they showed me around the factory that made them.I even met the guy who invented the technology with his stray soldering iron. But HP seems to have the edge.

Please report back when your new printer arrives and you get it installed.

Don't they have a recycling service there?
I took two old monitors and a PC case to our municipal tip this morning.
