Nighthawk AX6 6-Stream AX5300 WiFi Router
I have the AX 5300, With Charter Internet. The Internet is pushing at one gig From Charter, but the router goes consistently from 950 mbps to 500 mbps. ish.. Up and down like a yo-yo. If anyone has any ideas please advise.
Newcat 5 cables
The router is only two years old. But out of warranty. I would really hate to have to go buy a brand new one.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. Are you speed testing with a wired PC or wireless device? Wired speed testing is preferred with a PC or laptop.

All I know is Charter said that’s the newest modem they have (they replaced it a year ago ) and when I tested the speed from the computer directly from the modem, it was 960 mbps. And yes, after I double checked my receipts on those cables, they Cat 6.
This router is about a year and a half old.
This problem just started like three days ago ago.IF you can get a model# off the ISP modem, would be helpful.
This happen across multiple connected PCs or Laptops?
Possible if this had been working for a while, something on your devices may have changed?
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
