Nighthawk AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router Model RAXE500 (CM2000 or CM1200 or other)

Hello.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I can;t find it on your website or in the FAQ's

My ISP is Xfinity. I am using ARRIS cable modem/router combo and all works ok.

I want to upgrade to fastest WiFi and invest in 6E now for the future. I would like to buy Nighthawk AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router Model RAXE500 and will need

cable modem.

Both DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem (CM2000) & DOCSIS® 3.1 Cable Modem (CM1200) are supported by Xfinity.

Which of the 2 would be best fit for the Nighthawk AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router Model RAXE500?

Or is there a beter fit cable modem here rather than these 2?

Any other relevant thoughts here?

Thank you:

  • If the RAX has a 2.5Gb WAN Port, then the CM2000 would be a better fit as it also has a 2.5Gb WAN port. The CM1000 thru 1200 series only have 1000Mpbs ports. Though the 1200 supports LAG were the CM2000 does not as it only has 1 port.
