Nighthawk AXE7000 Router Changing 5G Channels by Itself

The speed change to 80 Mhz bandwidth seems to have done the trick. Several days now and hasn't moved from channel 40. Thanks again for your expert help. I now know more about the intricacies of the 5G allocated bandwidth.

I then go into my router and change 5G back to channel 40. It stays that way for some time, then randomly it changes to a different (and always very crowded) 5G channel. This is a bug in my view. I don't want the 5G channel to change, unless I do so myself. How do I prevent this and how do I open a ticket with Netgear on this issue?

Check the first 3 or 4 chapters for an overview, then look at chapter 14 for specific DFS information on the 5 GHz band.
Channel 40 is a non-DFS channel. It's not restricted, hence the router should not change channels by itself.
