Can always load 3rd party FW on NG routers for those parties that develop and support NG model routers. Will have to check with them to see what they support.
There is currently no stable, third-party firmware (like OpenWrt, DD-WRT, or FreshTomato) available for the Netgear RAXE290. Because it is a high-end, tri-band Wi-Fi 6E router, developers have not created custom builds that fully support its specific Broadcom hardware and Wi-Fi drivers. Because you cannot flash open-source custom firmware, you must rely on official releases. The same applies to any similar Broadcom-powered models, too.
