By axe7800 do you mean the RAXE300?
axe7800is a speed thing that Netgear also uses to describe the WAX630E.

Have you tried a manual setup of the router, with a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI)?

You can then feed in whatever connection settings your ISP requires.

Things like the login details.
One way to look for these would be to find the relevant settings in your linksys router. Note these down and put them into your Netgear router.
You didn't say what that router was, but you might find it useful to forage around in the manual.
