Nighthawk Outdoor Extender

Anyone know of plans to make a Nighthawk OUTDOOR extender? If not, even if backwards compatible from AX to AC, is the outdoor Orbi extender compatible with a Nighthawk router?

    The orbi outdoor extender RBS50Y does have a standard extender mode and an orbi mode. I've used both and it works well. 

    Netgear hasn't released any info on plans for an AX version that I've found so far.
