Nighthawk rax120 firmware
I'm trying to download a new firmware and it is suppose to have a .chk extension but every time I unzip a new firmware it shows as .img. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for the info. My real problem is that I can not access the routerlogin page of my router. I thought manually updating the firmware might help but everything I try has been unsuccessful. Somehow the router shows a non standard IP address starting with 174 and factory reset does not recover the normal 10.0.0.1. Any help is appreciated.

unhook it from your modem. If there's an ip address conflict, it can change the ip address during setup.
so factory reset it, leave it unhooked from the modem, and try and install it.
What modem do you have?
- Sugrad90aeAug 14, 2020AspirantI have an AT&T Arris U-verse BGW210-700 Broadband WiFi modem router gateway. Tried to hook up the Nighthawk with same SSID so that I didn’t need to change networks each time on my home system and really screwed something up. Will try another reset tonight. Even tried the 30-30-30 reset and was pretty sure I didn’t have it connected to modem but will try again. Thought I might have corrupted firmware as I can’t log into routerlogin to adjust settings again. Nighthawk is connected to Ethernet LAN to modem and my computer is connected to one of the LAN ports too and that works, but don’t think the Nighthawk WiFi is working. Thanks for the support.
