Nighthawk rax120 registered to another account and will not allow access to internet
I lost my job recently to a back injury, and my son needs wifi for Elearning, I bought a rax120 from a thrift store and it won't let me connect to the internet because it's already registered. I'm not technically inclined and don't have money to buy another. Is there anything that can be done to salvage this router
Thanks in advance

You can install them/use them without being registered. Registration is mainly for support/warranty.
What modem/gateway do you have it connected to?
what firmware is on the router?
where is it failing in the install process?
prior to trying to install (since its used) did you factory reset it?
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
then follow the install guide.
There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
Its a great resource to start with.

But if you are using a second-hand device the first thing to do is to wipe its settings so that it forgets any previous internet connections.
