Have you tried manually installing the next update?
then seeing if it'll auto update?
While manually downloading the file and installing the firmware from your directory works, I am disturbed that Netgear allows this issue to be distributed without some clear communication on what they plan to do to fix the problem. Their QA test must be very poor.
