Nighthawk RAX45 Turns off WiFi and internet connection LAN Ok
So ever since the last Firmware update in April, My RAX45 would turn off Internet connectivity and WiFi on its own sometime overnight. I have to reboot the router and then everything is fine again. ...
Yes after I started Tracking it's 5 days always, and it did change from 3:23am to 9:23 am when i changed the time from -6hrs to -11hrs just to see what would happen. Crazy stuff. No interference from neighbors, have done signal strength and bandwidth checks, all good.
So we'll see what happens in 5 days after i reset modem.
Would be interesting to know if this still happens if you change the ISP modem back to router mode, disable wifi radios and use the modems DMZ for the RAX router...
Definately try a factory reset on the RAX and setup from scratch.
What is the Brand and model # of the ISP modem?
Update on testing. So router reboot itself while I was doing changes on August 23 (last Tuesday) I then decided to turn off my site blocking of all the sites I had blocked, specifically some of my camera's like to reach out to China sites and get reply's. Since doing that the problem has not re occurred so far even though I have not done the factory reset yet, so I believe that there must be a buffer overflow occurring when the Blocked site list fills up. Will keep testing and report as I nail down more specifics.
