Nighthawk RAX50 multiple issues

Bought this a few days ago and it's been a NIGHTMARE. Tried Router mode, AP mode.

Issues:

wifi - worked at the start. I got half a day then Boom. Nothing now,  it's not broadcasting. a Blip here and there, zero lights on the router for the wifi.

Ethernet - Worked at first with the BT home hub , it registered in the network table and assigned an IP e.t.c.  from the BT HUB.

*All these issues end up with a solid orange or red light on the router.  Router stays off like that for a few mins , starts up again.....

POWER :Solid Orange  => white

INTERNET: blank => Orange => White

Ethernet connections : blank => White flashing. I'm only using one cable.

if I'm lucky, the router might pick up the ethernet port and allow 10 second access to the web interface. I change a settings then *all lights go off except solid orange.

rinse and repeats....I've reset, factory reset. read lots of troubleshooting. on and off. 

This is broken I'm sure, oh and a rollback never worked.
