Nighthawk RAX50

So my nighthawk is connected to a TP-Link modem. All seems to be working just fine. When I looked in the log of my modem the Nighthawk is sending a request to the modem ever 12hrs. See attached photo.
Is this normal?
Is it an issue?
And why exactly is it happening?
