Nighthawk rax6000 stopped broadcasting wifi and Lan
Hello, this morning I turned my TV on and samsung tv plus was trying to connect. It would connect and disconnect, connect and disconnect repeatedly. I check to make sure one of my cats didn't step on the radio button, but all seems to be in working order. I have 4 devices connect via Lan, and several connected via wifi (including the tv). First thing I tried was a power reboot of both the router and my ISP modem. This did not help. I bypassed the router completely and was able to get my laptop working directly off of the ethernet wire on my modem, so it's not the wire that goes between my modem and my router. I then tried connecting a wire from my router (after reconnecting the wire from my modem) to my laptop via ethernet and still no luck. I'm confused because everything looks normal. I am getting the upstream and downstream blinks like it is working, but nothing is receiving a signal at the device that is connected. I have a world icon like it is connected to the internet, but it's not. What could it be?

What is the brand name and model number of the upstream modem where your router is connected?
You need to restart your devices in sequence. Power down (pull the power cord) on both your modem and router. Disconnect the Ethernet output from the modem. Restart the modem and allow it ample time to boot and stabilize. Connect the router Ethernet and restart. Allow it ample time to connect and stabilize. Check for connectivity.
What is the firmware version number that is installed on your router? The latest is not an answer as it does not allow for confirmation or checks for other versions that may be available.

- Boby32xAspirantAside from pulling the ethernet wire, I did the above mentioned. As we speak, I disconnected everything from both the modem and the router. I will boot up the modem, let it stabilize and then reconnect the ethernet, and re-power the router again. The router has been unplugged for 24+ hours, so maybe I will have some luck this time.
As for the firmware:v1.2.8.40
As for the modem:charter spectrum docsis 3.1. Model ET2251 - Boby32xAspirantI know you guys will roll your eyes, but the router is working now. I am very familiar with the rebooting of everything, and I had previously done that, which is what led me to this community, but it's working alm the same. Thank you for the help

I know you guys will roll your eyes...Not at all. Anyone who claims that they have never done something like that is fibbing, or deluding themselves. That's why those checklists are valuable and why we parrot them day after day.
Now that you have things up and running, take a few safety measures, starting with a backup of you healthy system.
- Boby32xAspirantIt is a rax120 nighthawk ax12
Follow the advice from Kitsap . If that doesn't fix things, answer their other questions and tell us the make and model of the modem between the router and the Internet.
They are important, which is why they asked.
