Nighthawk RAX70 - Amazing speeds but constant packet burst in any game I play.

Hi, newbie here. Just moved to a new building with internet included. Its AT&T 1GBs.

I'm playing on a PC (wired via Ethernet) and I'm getting amazing upload and download speeds. Gaming feels great, that said, I GET PACKET LOSS/BURST every few minutes. Doesn't matter the game. 

 

Firmware: V.1.0.14.134

 

Any recommendations on how to fix this?

    While gaming try the following command.

     

    Press the Windows + R key, and then type in cmd, then press enter. After that, run the following command.

     

    ping google.com -t

     

    This will cause the system to ping google.com about once per second nonstop. When the game has a lag spike, Alt + Tab to the cmd window and look at the ping to google and see if it also experienced any ping spikes or timeouts.

     

    Also try running a traceroute using a command like tracert google.com

    This is to possibly check if the apartment is using a shared connection, as I have seen some apartments what will include internet where the entire building shares a single connection and depending on the equipment, they can have huge reliability issues, especially with some p2p traffic where when a system tries to open a few thousand connections, the old equipment starts to have latency issues.
