Nighthawk RAX80 only allows two devices to connect to internet via wifi in AP mode

I have installed an RAX80 in Access Point mode ( which is intended and what we need it for ) and it is configured with the default

settings to aquire it's IP address etc via DHCP from the main router via the LAN cable.

This works well for the first two people who connect to the WiFi. Any subsequent users that connect to the AP ssid are connected

but with no internet access. If one of the first two , successfully connected users, disconnects, then one of the "new" users then has internet access.

The firmware has been updated to the latest version and the unit has been reset to factory defaults and re set up by just logging into the web interface and going to the advanced tab and activating AP mode.

Any help is much appreciated in advance.

  • What router is it connected to? The primary router is whats controlling the devices. The RAX is only acting as wireless connection.

If you place the RAX back in router mode (yes, it'll be a double nat) does it allow more devices to connect?
