Nighthawk RAXE300 region locked to Canada

My NightHawk RAXE300 is region locked to Canada. I'm in the US and purchased this from Amazon in the US.

 

I just discovered that this router is region locked to Canada and I would like to switch it to the US region, but am unable to do so. I've seen some suggestions that point me towards using telnet to get this corrected, but have not been able to find any step-by-step guides for my particular router.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    What FW version is loaded on the router? 

    Where are you seeing this location at? 

     

    USA and Canada are in same region so probably dosen't matter. 

    Telnet is not supported on NG routers anymore due to security concerns.

    The FW version is: V1.0.9.82_1

     

    The location settings are under: Advanced > Setup > Wireless Setup

     

    The location there is set as Canada and it's greyed out to where I can not choose any other location.
