The WAN port is not available to select because the entire point is to create a bridge between the WAN port and certain parts of the router LAN. Selecting the VLAN option automatically involves the WAN port.
Perhaps it would be useful if you could post the information provided by Century Link on how to connect a customer router to their fiber service.
