OpenVPN and Dynamic DNS
OK, I am new to this so apologize in advance. I have a new RAX120 installed and operating. Everything appears to be working very well and am very happy with the results (so far). I recently attempted to activate VPN on the router. I had a Dynamic DNS servive already but decided to use the netgear recommended (and provided) DDNS. I created an account and it seems to be fine on the router. I created config files for both MacOS (Beta) and for iOS (iPhone and iPad). I imported the MacOS file to Tunnelblick then to Viscosity and they were imported successfully. When I attempt to run Tunnelblick the VPN connection is not completed and the error is waiting for a server (Netgear DDN). I get the same results when I import my config to Viscosity. It too fails to connect waiting for the Netgear DDNS. I get the same results when I use my other Dynamic DNS service (DYNU). I had a very similar configuration with my Linksys router but it used a specific IP address. Is there something I am doing incorrectly?
Also, reading the community information I did download and install OpenVPN, imported the configuratin and attempted to activate VPN on my Mac. It too seems to be waiting for my DDNS.
Any suggestions?
