Port 80 is closed on CAX30
Hi, I'm trying to forward port 80 from my CAX30 modem to my laptop and it is not working. I was able to forward ports 443, 18080, etc. but for some reason port 80 doesn't work. I don't have any A...
Many ISPs will take steps to limit the functionality of port 80 for security reasons, as sometimes people will do things like connect an NVR or IP camera or other random device and leave everything on their default settings, and as a result, their cameras end up on sites like shodan.
Beyond that, they also tend to restrict functions like that to prevent people from using a residential internet connection to host a website, especially with gigabit plans becoming more common.
