PPTP VPN on Nighthawk AX6 - Will this work?

I wanted to ask this question to see if this would work.  Thank you all for your help.

I am using a Nighthawk AX5400 6-Stream WiFi Router

We have a 2016 Server,  I installed Remote Access on this server using a PPTP Protocol.

My boss wants to connect to this from home.  We are a small office, with a small network.

How could I connect to this server from home?  A VPN?  If so, will this Nighthawk AX5400 6-Stream WiFi Router work?

I really do not know what I am doing.  Just trying to do my best.
