R6900v2 Ethernet
Changed my SSID/PW on my R6900v2 router but LAN/Internet SSID to my computer will not change to new SSID. My old SSID had an extension (_2EXT and _5EXT) added to it by someone and my kids logged on it with my password. So I changed it. But now, my LAN internet access shows the old SSID and I can't get rid of it. I can disconnect the LAN line from my R6900v2 router and the WIFI picks up my new SSID/PW. How can I get the router to show my new SSID?

its a function of windows. And it requires editing the registry and can end up causing bad things to happen if you don't know what you're doing
