I just purchased a new router asi had an 1800 which I liked it got fried, my question is since I already had the app for nighthawk do I need to delete that app before setting up my new router.
When you connect to the router using the nighthawk app, and the app detects that the setup wizard was never completed, then it automatically assumes a new router and will behave as if nothing was set up before. Beyond that, the previous router will still be listed in the "Your Products" section of the app.
PS, at the moment if you have a PC connected via Ethernet, then it is still faster to set the router up using the web UI than using the app, since the web UI doesn't have anfy of those fixed delays.
