RAX120-100N Reboots
Purchased a Nighthawk RAX120-100N yesterday at Best Buy. It is randomly rebooting. My XR500 in same location did not have this issue. I am plugged into a APC UPS system. It has rebooted 3 times i...

If that doesn't help, I'd exchange it at where you got it.
Maybe you got a sketchy one or one with a bad power supply. It'd be faster to exchange than go through support/rma.

What firmware version are you on?
Have you tried reinstalling the firmware, then doing a factory reset/reinstall? Maybe something was corrupt in the firmware

I will do that tonight after work. Hoping to have a "to-do" list from here of steps to take.

I am on firmware version:
V1.2.3.28
My wife said it worked fine today and she was home with the TV on (hulu) without issue. I will keep an eye on it over next few days. If it happens again, will do the reset. After that, will bring it back for a different one.
Thanks

So, the steps that I took after it acted up yesterday during the day.
Set fan to on all the time and stood it up on its front end to maximize airflow in case it was a overheating issue. Also stepped down the signal speeds by 1 to reduce power usage. This was night before last and did not help during the day.
Did a reset but not factory. Wife had a zoom meeting to jump on and didn't have much time to kill. Had 1 power cycle during the 30 minute call. Also put a switch behind it for the ethernet cords going into the back (desktop, philps hue bridge, magicjack). Trying to minimize demand on router.
Did a factory reset and set up the parameters again (SSID, password, 3 static address). Fine for about 2 hours and then rebooted while watching Disney +. Ignored it, 5 minutes later rebooted.
Removed power cord from back of UPS and into the wall. 30 min later, rebooted.
Factory reset, unplugged, put into box. XR500 put back in the same place. Ran all night without issues. Now need to decide if I want to stick with Netgear or try another brand like Linksys or Asus.

Sad to see it not work. Its a solid router.
Kind of up to you what route to go.
I get a little biased but its because I only see the ones with issues on here. Its not usually the ones saying how great something is :)
I'd try exchanging it if you bought it locally. Most manufacturer's have a certain percentage that have issues straight from the factory. If you're going to see issues on a devices, its fairly quickly after buying.
but if it put a sour taste in your mouth, try something else. I've had great luck with Asus and some Tp-link devices.
